"Win A Free Wedding At IKEA Houston" Official Rules

To Enter:

All entrants must be 18 years old or older and must provide a valid form of ID. Limit one entry per couple.

Entrants will be chosen at IKEA’s sole and absolute discretion. Entrants must include their name and partners name, address, and phone number when submitting their entry. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules. Prizes:

Prize package includes:

• Wedding ceremony & reception for 50 attendants in the IKEA Houston Restaurant on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 12 noon-3pm. Reception includes: party gift for each attendant, beverages, appetizers, entrée, dessert, wedding cake, and DJ.

• Wedding flowers (white & red roses) including: 1 Bridal bouquet, 1 Maid of Honor bouquet, 2 Bridesmaids bouquets, 1 Toss Away bouquet, 2 Mothers petite hand-tie, 12 Corsages, 12 Attendant boutonnieres, 8 centerpieces, 10 rose petals buds.

• Photo package

• Hotel room for one night on Thursday, February 14, 2008

• Two complimentary massage gift certificates

• $1,000 in IKEA gift cards & an IKEA gift basket

Prizes that will be awarded are not transferable. Prizes are not covered by the IKEA return policy.

Prize package will be awarded on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 12 noon in the IKEA Houston Restaurant.

Winners are responsible for transporting prizes, otherwise prizes will be forfeited. The winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on the prize, where required.

One Grand Prize Winner will receive a prize package valued at $6,000. Entry box available in the IKEA Bedrooms department beginning Monday, January 14 through Sunday, January 27, 2008.

Selection on Entrants

EligibilityRules:

• No purchase necessary.

• The following are eligibility requirements to participate in the Event. All questions of compliance, disqualification, or other Event rules will be answered and determined by and at the sole discretion of IKEA.

• No illegal activity will be permitted.

• No guns, knives, or weapons of any kind.

• No form of discrimination will be tolerated.

• No indecent exposure will be permitted.

• IKEA will make any decisions about specific items, which may or may not be allowed, in the Event.

• No smoking or other tobacco products will be permitted during the Event at any time.

• No consumption of alcoholic beverages or use of any controlled substance will be permitted on or in IKEA property. Any of the participants who appear at the Event under the influence of any alcohol or any illegal substance will be disqualified. This termination will be at the sole discretion of IKEA. Participants may take prescribed medications as necessary, but are required to inform IKEA and are required to make IKEA aware of any medical conditions, drug allergies, and food sensitivities they may have.

• Participants will not be permitted to taunt other participants (no swearing, loud, abusive or offensive language permitted, etc.)

• If any of the participants determine that they are ill for any reason and are required to leave the Event for any reason, they will be disqualified.

• Participants will be held responsible for any damage or destruction to IKEA property.

• No sexual activities of any kind will be permitted during the Event.

• Each of the participants must raise any concerns about rules violations at the time that they occur. No past issues will be considered at the conclusion of the Event.

• IKEA reserves the right to dismiss any person at any time during the Event for non-compliance with the above stated rules, or for any other reason, and replace the person with a runner-up to be chosen from the original pool of entrants. In the event that a person is dismissed, he or she will not receive any prize or compensation.

Release, Limitations on Liability

IKEA reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Event if it is not capable of running it as planned, including for any causes beyond the control of IKEA which affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Event. This Event is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

IKEA is not responsible for damaged or lost vehicles or personal belongings on or in IKEA property during the Event.

The winning couple must sign a waiver and release form consenting to the use of their name, voice, photograph (stills, motion picture, or video tape) in print, broadcast, Internet and other media foradvertising, promotional and/or marketing purposes without additional compensation and further agree in writing to hold harmless IKEA and/or its affiliates, agents or assigns, and their officers, employees, independent contractors, agents, affiliates, successors and assigns, against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly out of the Event or the prizes awarded. The following are rules and guidelines for the Event: Entrants must be legal residents of the U.S. age 18 or older. Limit one entry letter per couple. Selected participants must be willing to show valid ID. Additionally, the Grand prize winning couple must show IKEA Houston their marriage license by Thursday, February 7, 2008. If IKEA determines at their sole discretion that any of the participants are ineligible, they may be disqualified from the Event. In addition, each of the participants will be asked to show a valid photo-ID proving legal residence and age. Failure to show adequate proof may result in disqualification. Employees of IKEA and its affiliates and each of its advertising and promotional agencies and their immediate families and any persons with whom they reside are not eligible. See below under Rules for additional requirements. Based on the content of submitted letters that explain why they believe they deserve a free wedding at IKEA, six couples will be chosen as contest finalists on Monday, January 28, 2008. Letters are limited to only one page in length. Entrants will be selected based on originality and need. Selected entrants will be notified by Monday, January 29, 2008. The odds of participating will depend on the number of entrants. The IKEA Houston store management reserves the right to make the selection of such participants. The Grand prize is the Wedding package at IKEA Houston on Thursday, February 14, 2008. Winning couple must show valid ID. The other five selected couples that did not win the contest will receive a $50 IKEA gift card per couple. All decisions by IKEA are final. IKEA will require the participants to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release, before the event. If such documents are not returned within the time period requested, or if an entrant is found ineligible or if they do not comply with the Official Rules, then the potential entrant will be disqualified and an alternate entrant will be selected.
